Well I feel humbled.
After looking at the sites here I'm humbled, but I do like some of the blogs and maybe its not bad considering that I'm just a newbie and the site is less than two weeks old. I do like the content in the blog - shameless plug I know. The photo albums in the Nature and Crystal Photography are functional, but I find myself a bit puzzled about why so much space between pictures and rows is wasted. It just looks sparse.
So here it is. I do get a chuckle out of the url name I chose. I can't believe it wasn't already taken!

Unfortunately there is a gross problem with pixture reloaded theme and iPad Safari. The content ends up to the right of the right end of the header instead of under it. It looks horrible, so I had to go back to garland_dropmenu to get something that looks half decent and works. Sigh!

I am still tweaking and adding modules but it is at least started.
Feedback would be greatly appreicated!

Nice site
You've created an eye-appealing site. It easy to access and find your way around. Good work! I live in hope as I begin this journey.
YES!
I've done it... got the site kind of worked out AND linked... next I'm working on the colors which are driving me absolutely bonkers. So bonkers in fact that I'm now going to get a pizza and beer to sort my head out. Sitting here for ONE DAY and nothing is sticking - hating it. Meanwhile, here's what I've done so far!

my new site
This is my new site i built with drupal and a lot of help from 'Drupal for Dummies', http://www.luckycontests.com , it is a sweepstakes / contest directory. I used the Pixture Theme and about 30 contributed modules; it is the first drupal site i have ever built. It is pretty basic but i had a great time building it and learned a lot along the way. I hope to improve it as i learn more, any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Drupal sites for the community
two sites that I did for local organizations...
in both cases I was able to set up the sites and allow organization volunteers to provide content -- follow the link to some Trip reports below on this one
http://susqadk.org/
this one has a "dark" theme - which some people like for the way that it sets off the photos and text

Is it custom or a contributed theme?
Edit: It looks like a contributed theme: http://drupal.org/project/colourise
Good choice! It goes well with the site.

Very nice. I like the uncluttered look of http://susqadk.org/. :)
It might be my browser acting up, but when I click on any of the ".doc" newsletters it tries to download/open the file in my word processor. Uploading them to a service like Scribd and embedding it on the page might be an option. That way people don't have to leave your site. If the feature works as intended, just ignore my ramblings... :D

Gorgeous
Both gorgeous and impressive examples of what you can do with Drupal. Love the color scheme on the Catskill Symphony and the calendar and layout of the ADK site.
I love that it has a color scheme....
...that matches the "for dummies" (http://www.dummies.com) website. it shows a (business) partnership.
Plus the SIMPLICITY! i've seen so many websites, including dupal websites that are just too cluttered! that is what got me hooked on google since its inception. i do not like the eye assault with too much advertising, color, stories, movement-animation, and pictures. they all scream/compete for your attention that i just get a headache and move on to websites that are quieter....but that's just me. ;)
keep up the great work!
Appreciate the feedback
Looking forward to you posting your own site for feedback, as well as anyone else out there...
Pretty good but...
Needs more color.
